For my first attempt at producing a recipe video I decided to keep the process fairly simple with this vegetarian one pan pasta dish. It was also good to have something to eat for dinner that evening that all the family would enjoy!
Vegetarian One Pan Pasta is so very easy to put together. The recipe on the video doesn’t list the garlic and herbs I threw into the pan but it was my first ever video production and I wanted to keep it under one minute long. So much more to learn, more techniques, lighting, etc, but I really enjoyed the whole process from start to finish and am already planning the next one to film.
To make vegetarian one pan pasta, there really is no set recipe. Watch the video for my ingredients. You can add a variety of different vegetables and pasta in varying amounts to suit the number of people being served. Just make sure all the vegetables are thinly sliced to help speed up the cooking time and add plenty of stock as the pasta will absorb most of it. I used just over 1 litre/2¼ pints and that was just about right for this size of pan. We served this dish finished with grated cheese liberally thrown over. It was just delicious!
The dish will feed 3-4 portions and is ready in under 25 minutes depending on the vegetables used. It would also be ideal to cook on a camping stove, I cooked mine on an induction cooker to show the process on the video as it was cooking.
This was a great meal for Miss ND too. Packed full of vegetables with protein-rich Black-eyed beans (some call them Black-eyed peas) it made a filling, hearty dinner. She loved it too, result!
