Healthy Easy Dukkah

Easy Dukkah is a very versatile condiment that adds a great fusion of flavors and texture to so many dishes. And as well as tasting amazing, it can add extra nourishment to your meals.

Ingredients
 

  • ½ cup Hazelnuts
  • ½ cup Almonds
  • cup Sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Black Sesame seeds, do not toast
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Put the Hazelnuts and Almonds on a sheet pan and toast for around 3 minutes on low heat.
  • Then toast the Fennel and Cumin seeds separately (not the Black Sesame seeds) for around 2 minutes until aromatic, again on a low heat.
  • Allow both nuts and seeds to cool slightly then transfer into a food processor/blender or pestle and mortar along with the rest of the ingredients and grind to your desired consistency (see note below).

Recipe Notes

When grinding the ingredients remember not to grind to a powder and leave a fair bit of texture in the finished product.
