Ingredients

  • 2 pounds broccolini
  • cup butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon thyme, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and trim the ends of your broccolini, then boil in salted water for 3-4 minutes or until just tender.
  • Drain and plunge into a bowl of cold water and ice. This stops the broccolini from cooking any further and also sets the beautiful green color.
  • Heat a large skillet to medium and add in the garlic, butter, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
  • Then sauté for 15 seconds, making sure not to brown it.
  • Add in the broccolini and cook just until the broccolini is heated through, then serve.
