Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, I use 85% grass-fed
  • 6 low carb buns
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup butter, divided
  • ¼ cup pepperoncini peppers, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons pepperoncini brine
  • 2 teaspoons Ranch Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons au jus mix
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat, add in the salt and cook until browned.
  • Remove and set it aside, then add in 1 tablespoon of the butter and the diced onions.
  • Sauté until tender, then add in the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the remaining butter, ranch seasoning, au jus mix, pepperoncini brine, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth and ground back pepper, then mix to combine.
  • Whisk in the xanthan gum, then add the sliced pepperoncini peppers and ground beef back into the skillet.
  • Mix to combine and simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Spoon over the toasted low carb buns of your choice and serve immediately. If you're not following a low carb diet, you can certainly use any bun that you like.
