Easy Cinnamon Apples

Enjoy these Easy Cinnamon Apples tossed in a cinnamon and brown sweetener mixture, sautéed in butter until tender and juicy.

  • Peel, core and slice your apples. I like to use a tool that makes it easier and the apple slices are all the same size.
  • Add the apples to a mixing bowl, then sprinkle the brown sweetener, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and vanilla over the top.
  • Toss until well coated.
  • Heat a large skillet to medium low and add in the butter. Once melted, pour in the apples and sauté uncovered for a few minutes or until slightly softened.
  • Pour the lemon juice and water over the apples and toss. Put a lid on and continue sautéing a few more minutes or until the apples have almost reached your desired texture. Remove the lid and cook the last couple of minutes uncovered to allow the liquid to thicken. Cooking times will all depend on how thin you sliced your apples.
  • They are ready to serve warm or you can chill them in the fridge and serve cold.
