🔪 How to Make a Strawberry Protein Shake
Add the frozen strawberries to a high powered blender.

Pour in the coconut milk, heavy cream, protein powder, vanilla extract and stevia.

Blend until smooth and creamy.

It’s ready to serve.

You can serve with some whip cream and strawberry slices.

💡 Tips
- Definitely use frozen strawberries, as they will help make the shake frosty cold, without having to add ice, which would water it down some.
- This shake is best when served right away. And while you can store leftovers in the fridge, the consistency will change a little and might even separate some. When that happens, you can just shake up the jar and drink it, though you might want to either serve it over ice or blend it and with some ice.
- Be sure to buy the unsweetened coconut milk to keep the sugar and carbs low. You’ll want to use the type that is in the refrigerated section at the grocery store, not the canned.

☑️ Storage Instructions
Store leftovers in a sealed jar for 1-2 days in the fridge.

🔄 Substitutions and Additions
- If you don’t like or can’t have coconut, you can use unsweetened almond milk instead.
- If you’d rather use another type of berry, instead of the strawberries, you certainly can. You can even use a mix of one or more berries if that’s what you prefer. Just make sure they are frozen.
- For a cheesecake flavor, you can add in a few tablespoons of cream cheese.
- If you want to amp up and intensify the strawberry flavor, you can add in some powdered freeze-dried strawberries.
- To add more coconut flavor, you can add in some coconut extract, about ½ teaspoon should be plenty. You can also add in some finely shredded unsweetened coconut before blending.

What can I put in a strawberry protein shake?
I've made a few suggestions above, but if you're not trying to keep the carbs and sugar low, you can add in ½ a frozen banana.
What to put in a protein shake to feel full?
Adding more healthy fats will help, like ½ an avocado. Though this protein shake is actually pretty filling all on its own.
Are protein shakes good for weight loss?
They are, however I recommend limiting the number of shakes you drink as they shouldn't be a regular replacement for a meal with whole foods. Since they are so quick and easy to make, it could become too easy to drink them instead of cook wholesome balanced meals.
