Tahini is one of the key ingredients in making hummus. But you might not have known that it’s also great for using in salad dressings too. It has a rich, nutty flavor and a super creamy texture.
When blended into a dressing, like with this Lemon Tahini Dressing, it not only adds great flavor, but creates a silky texture. With the addition of maple syrup and apple cider vinegar, you get a well balanced sweet and tangy dressing.

It’s ideal to serve it over salads, lettuce, arugula and even spinach, but it’s also really good over roasted veggies. I list some serving ideas down below, that you can check out.
🛒 Ingredients for Sugar-Free Maple Tahini Dressing

🔪 How to Make Low Carb Maple Tahini Dressing
Add all the ingredients to a bullet blender cup.

Mix until well combined.

Check the consistency and if it’s too thick, add more water as needed.

Serve over your favorite salad or veggies.
💡 Tips
- The more you blend this dressing, the more it will thicken up. If you want to use this dressing as more of a dip, you can use less water. If you want it thinner and more runny, add more water until you get your desired consistency.
- If you don’t have a bullet blender, you can use an immersion blender or food processor instead. Using one of these will make blending the dressing easier, but if you don’t have either, you can use a mixing cup or bowl with a whisk.
- I make this dressing using my Homemade Tahini, but you can certainly use store bought if it’s more convenient.

☑️ Storage Instructions
Store leftover dressing in an airtight jar for 5-7 days.
🍴 Ways to Use Maple Tahini Dressing
- Serve over your favorite salad, like this Chopped Kale Salad or this Spinach and Arugula Salad.
- Drizzle over this Roasted Vegetable Salad for added flavor and creaminess.
- Use it instead of maple syrup over this Roasted Pumpkin side dish.
- Drizzle over this Acorn Squash.
- Add a healthy dollop over these Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes.

🔄 Substitutions and Additions
- If you don’t have apple cider vinegar, you can use either red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar instead.
- If you’re not concerned with keeping your sugar low or following a low carb diet, you can use pure maple syrup instead.
- If you don’t have avocado oil, you can use either a light olive oil or extra virgin. I’d recommend the light for this dressing, as extra virgin olive oil has a stronger flavor.

Is maple tahini dressing healthy?
It actually is! All of the ingredients used in this dressing are healthy and sugar-free.
What is the best recipe for tahini sauce?
While you can certainly use store bought tahini, I prefer to make Homemade Tahini whenever I can. It's super quick and easy to make.
Should you refrigerate tahini after opening?
Yes, I recommend storing it in the fridge, whether it's store bought or homemade.
How do you make maple tahini dressing?
It really couldn't be easier to make this dressing. You just need to add all of the ingredients into your bullet blender cup and blend. It's just that simple!
